Connect Lompu to your AI Agent

Lompu can be added to ChatGPT as a custom MCP app. ChatGPT will discover Lompu's tools, open a secure Lompu sign-in page, and use the permissions you approve.

   Enable Developer mode

   In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and enable Developer mode. In a managed workspace, an admin or owner may first need to allow custom MCP apps under workspace permissions.

   Create a custom app

   Go to Settings → Apps → Create, name the app Lompu, and enter this MCP server URL:

   https://lompu.com/api/mcp

   Connect your Lompu account

   Choose OAuth authentication and select Scan tools. ChatGPT will open Lompu in your browser. Sign in, review the requested permissions, and approve the connection. Return to ChatGPT after the tool scan finishes, then select Create.

   Use Lompu in a chat

   Start a new chat and select Lompu from the tools menu, or mention the app in your prompt. For example: “List my Lompu generators” or “Create a random name generator and save it as a draft.”

   Review changes before publishing

   Lompu creates a draft before publication. Ask ChatGPT to show or validate the draft, then explicitly confirm when you want to publish. ChatGPT may also request confirmation before running a write action.

Add Lompu as a remote MCP server in Codex. The server uses Streamable HTTP and OAuth, so you do not need to install or run a local process.

   Add a custom MCP server

   Open Codex settings, go to MCP servers, and choose to add a custom server.

   Choose Streamable HTTP

   Select Streamable HTTP, not STDIO. Enter lompu as the name and use this URL:

   https://lompu.com/api/mcp

   Leave custom request headers empty. Lompu obtains your identity through OAuth instead of a manually entered API key.

   Authenticate your Lompu account

   Save and enable the server, then select Authenticate. Sign in to Lompu, review the requested permissions, and allow access. The browser should return to a local Codex callback page that says authentication is complete.

   Verify the connection

   Return to Codex and confirm that Lompu no longer shows an authentication prompt. Start a new task if necessary, then ask: “List my Lompu generators.”
